A podcast about bringing grief awareness out into the open. A project to help people connect, and share their experiences with grief and loss
There comes a day when every person will face the heartbreaking reality of losing someone or something that they love. As many of us know, grieving can be exhausting and even frightening, sadly, one of the hardest things to do is to learn to live life without the person physically with you. On this episode I offer a few suggestions to learning how to live without your loved one. From my heart to yours.
Come and listen to this week's episode where I offer a few tips on how to release the burden of guilt that you might be holding on to in your grief. Sadly, guilt is everywhere in grief and it's a common yet complex emotion. Often it makes the griever feel that somehow, someway, they have failed in their duties, obligations, or, they have done something wrong and that can lead to feelings of insecurity, unworthiness, blame, self-judgement, and much more. The sad part is that guilt does not have to be rational to be be real so that means even though it's not based on reality, we may still feel it. Enjoy!
If you're wondering how to talk to your children about death then this episode is for you. We need to find ways to teach our kids about one of life's important truths because, when it comes to the topic of death many parents often fail to provide honest information to their children as we think it's a morbid topic to talk about. Even though it's not always easy it is necessary so, I'm offering some do's and don'ts of ways to talk to your child about death. Enjoy!
Do you notice ways that you are bearing witness to your grief and to others? Author, public speaker, and death and grieving expert David Kessler says that each person's grief is as unique as their fingerprint but, what everyone has in common, is no matter how they grieve, they share the need for their grief to be witnessed. And that's the topic of this week's episode. Enjoy!
